Alumina production was launched there in 1967. The infrastructure comprises a loading port and commodity warehouses. 20% of the Company is owned by the Group's Metals segment and 80% by Rio Tinto Alcan.
The supply of alumina and bauxite from the refinery has been blocked since March 2022.
