RUSAL, the Metals business of En+ Group, the world’s largest producer of low carbon aluminium and independent hydropower, was ranked among CDP’s Supplier Engagement Leaderboard for its second consecutive year.

RUSAL is amongst the top 7% of companies for supplier engagement on climate change, based on 2020 CDP ranking disclosure. This ranking reflects RUSAL’s high level of informational transparency, as well as the company's commitment to the principles of sustainable development and to reducing global carbon emissions. RUSAL is the first aluminium company in the world to receive such a high rating.

Lord Barker of Battle, Executive Chairman of En+ Group said:

"En+ Group has a long-term strategy to help combat climate change and strongly supports the improvement of industry-wide standards. We are now ranked among the global leaders due to our actions to reduce our carbon footprint and our commitment to net zero emissions by 2050”.

Sonya Bhonsle, Global Head of Value Chains, CDP:

“Companies’ emissions don't end at the factory door. In fact, CDP data shows that, on average, a company's supply chain emissions are over 11.4 times greater than its direct emissions. Meaningful corporate climate action means engaging with suppliers to reduce emissions across the value chain. Despite the challenges imposed by COVID-19, nearly 400 companies achieved a place on CDP's Supplier Engagement Leaderboard in 2020. Congratulations to all these companies - as Supplier Engagement Leaders, they are driving the transition towards the net-zero sustainable economy”.
