25 May 2017, Irkutsk— En+ Group has launched the first unit of its Clouds of Siberia data centre network. The new data centre is located at Novo-Irkutskaya CHP, near Irkutsk in Siberia. The network will provide cloud storage and processing services to high-tech clients in Russia and China.
The data centre has dual critical systems backup and meets Tier 3 Reliability Standards. It will offer virtual computing services and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) data storage systems.

In addition to the Clouds of Siberia data centre network, En+ Group is considering, jointly with Russian and Chinese partners, a series of other data centre construction projects for several anchor clients in Russia and China.
The global data centre market is actively growing, and the amount and complexity of processed data increases every day: the world’s total data footprint will reach 40 trillion gigabytes by 2020. The Russian data centre market is in a formative stage; only Moscow and St. Petersburg are equipped with the advanced infrastructure, compliant with international reliability standards, to support commercial data centres. High real estate and energy costs are causing businesses to consider building energy-intensive IT infrastructure in more remote regions.
