April 30, 2020 — En+ Group (LSE: ENPL; MOEX: ENPL for GDRs and ENPG for ordinary shares) a leading international vertically integrated aluminium and power producer, is pleased to announce that it has received an honourable mention in this year's list of winners for the Fast Company 2020 World Changing Ideas Awards. En+ Group is being recognized for its efforts to raise awareness around low-carbon aluminium and disclosure rules on emissions.

The awards honour businesses, policies, projects, and concepts that are actively engaged and deeply committed to systemic change when it comes to the climate crisis, social injustice, or economic inequality.

‘’We are delighted to receive this recognition for our efforts to raise awareness of the climate-beating potential of low-carbon aluminium. Our world is at a critical turning point and En+ Group firmly believes that when we pull away from the tragedy of COVID-19, we must double down on the other great existential risk of our time, dangerous man-made climate change. The good news is there are plenty of practical actions that businesses can take now to make progress. In our sector, which has the potential to be such a force for good, that has to start with all producers of this important metal disclosing the carbon content of the aluminium they produce.”

Lord Barker

En+ Group Executive Chairman

“There seems no better time to recognise organisations that are using their ingenuity, resources, and, in some cases, their scale to tackle society’s biggest problems. Our journalists, under the leadership of Senior Editor Morgan Clendaniel, have uncovered some of the smartest and most inspiring projects of the year.”
